Explorer Club
This club is for 7 - 11 year-olds (years 3 to 6 at school), and is a time to meet up, play games, sing, learn crafts, hear bible stories and have fun! We meet every Thursday during term-time, between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
There are 20+ children who attend the club regularly. They are welcomed at the door for registration and then start the meeting with 10 minutes of singing and announcements. We then break out into another room (on alternate weeks) for a bible story or a story about a famous Christian or (on the other week) for games and activities - this part of our meeting takes around 20 minutes.
Next (for about 15 minutes) is either craft activity time or quiz time. We finish with drinks and refreshments, plus snack prizes for answering quiz questions. Other prizes are awarded for attendance / good behaviour / general helpfulness / winning competitions or games.
